Tasting Note

A fun and nearly exotic white wine with a basketful of apple aromas and flavors of all colors, along with some orange, dried pineapple and honey. The finish includes wisps of citrus blossoms and a noticeable dose of chalkiness. Drink soon or in the next few years.

Wine Description

With the ancient name of the land of L'Albages, Clos Pons Sisquella restores white winemaking in Carrigues. Fresh and floral, Sisquella is a white flower that stands out in a red wine area. The wine expresses a powerful sweetness in the nose with notes of pineapple and lemon, ripe white fruit, toasty flavors and vanilla accents derived from a light aging in French oak. It is elegantly spiced with citric and very refreshing notes.

About the Winery

Clos Pons, located in the Les Garrigues district in the south of the province Lleida, is the expression of the relationship between the Pons family and its land. After several generations in high-quality olive oil cultivation, we initiated this new wine project. Our wines gather the signs of identity of the land and extreme climate of Les Carrigues - low rainfall, extreme temperatures, rough land and poor organic soils defined by different mineral compositions represent the suitable setting to produce high-quality wines.
