Tasting Note

A distinctly Old School style of Rioja with black cherry and tart cranberry in equal measure alongside dusty earth and savory elements. The aromas of American oak barrels express themselves more as raw coconut than as the fresh sawdust that so often marks the presence of those barrels. A very soft end: drink soon or over the next few years.

Wine Description

This intense, cherry-red, brick-hued wine expresses clean, powerful aromas on the nose, with harmony between the oak aging and vinous notes. The tasty, full-bodied wine has good structure in the mouth with polished, gentle tannins, and its aromas continue on the long, persistent finish. Altogether, the wine is well-developed and mature with an assured long life in the bottle.
