Tasting Note

Another strong example of how Albariño has evolved into a benchmark modern wine from a very Old School wine region. This is ripe and nearly lush, with pear, apple, peach and citrus, but those citrus elements get tangy and even dusty and stony at the finish. Drink now or over the next few years.

Wine Description

This 100% Albariño wine is made from grapes sourced from vineyards aged between 5 and 15 years. The wine expresses very balanced acidity and the unctuous characteristics of the Albariño grape. Very fruity and floral, it is perfect for any occasion.

About the Winery

Located in Tea county north of the River Miño, Pazo Pondal is a dynamic family winery founded in 1998. As a modern winery that respects the traditional Albariño winemaking methods, we work with Ana Martin, one of Spain's most recognized oenologists, and concentrate on producing premium Albariños of outstanding quality. Our winery cultivates 32 acres of espaliered vineyards aged between 5 and 35 years. We also produce a line of premium Orujos that complement our wines. Our top priority is consumer satisfaction.
